MiDAS stands for Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and is a nationally recognised training
scheme for drivers of community minibuses.
To be eligible for training applicants should be 21 years or older and hold a full
UK driving license that entitles them to drive a minibus.
All drivers must hold a MiDAS certificate. This is a condition of our operator’s
license. To drive the Peugeot Boxer they also require D1 entitlement on their license.
MiDAS training usually takes 1 day and includes a theory test and a driving assessment.
The certificate is valid for 4 years, after which a further test is required.
Anyone whose certificate has expired will not be able to drive the minibus.
Anyone wishing to apply for MiDAS training should contact Morag Chapman - see Contacts
